Scoring a goal in the second Asian qualifying round for the 2026 North-Central America World Cup against Thailand.

Son Heung-min scored a goal to make it 2-0 in the fourth lane of Group C in the second Asian qualifying round for the 2026 North-Central America World Cup at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on the 26th (local time).

According to a short video posted on the Korea Football Association’s official YouTube channel (KFATV), Son Heung-min embraced Lee Kang-in, who ran towards him after scoring the goal, and moved toward the stands with joy.

After finding the ‘Inside Cam’ camera, Son Heung-min changed his direction and returned to the camera and shouted, “Welcome back Junho!”

The ceremony celebrated the return of midfielder Son Joon-ho, who was recently released after being detained for 10 months by Chinese authorities.

Son Heung-min told reporters after his victory over Thailand, “I’m so happy that Son Joon-ho came back to Korea, and it’s news that Korean soccer fans have waited for a long time as a people.”

Earlier, Son Jun-ho was arrested in May last year when he was playing for Taishan in Shandong Province, China, while trying to return home from Hongqiao Airport in Shanghai. Since then, Son Joon-ho, who has been detained as a detective, has recently been released and returned home on the 25th.

Son Joon-ho said on social networking services (SNS) that “I feel grateful to be able to return safely and spend a comfortable time with my family and enjoy a normal daily life,” adding, “I sincerely thank the Korean people for their interest, waiting, and worrying for a long time without forgetting.” 안전놀이터 추천
