Noh Si-hwan won the Player of the Year Award at the 2023 Magumagu Real Glove Awards held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 1st. The award selected five final candidates based on their contribution to victory (WAR) compared to the replacement, and then the players voted. Noh Si-hwan topped the list with 58% of the vote, beating prominent seniors such as Ko Young-pyo (KT Wiz), Yang Eui-ji (NC Dinos), Kim Hye-sung (Kium Heroes), and Hong Chang-ki (LG Twins).
Noh Si-hwan played in 131 games in the 2023 regular season and recorded a batting average of 0.298, 31 home runs and 10 RBIs. He won home runs and RBI titles. He became the second player ever to win the home run king before the age of 23. He became the third home run king in Hanwha’s history after Jang Jong-hoon and Kim Tae-kyun.
Roh Si-hwan is sweeping big awards at the year-end awards ceremony. At the KBO awards ceremony on the 27th of last month, he won the grand prize with two titles, and at the Spitzer Seoul “Award of the Year” held on the 30th.
After taking the podium for the award, Noh Si-hwan said, “Thank you for giving me an undeserved award. I think they gave me this award to do better next year. “I will try to achieve better results with a more humble attitude,” he said.
