A number of LPBA rookies, led by LPBA’s “Express Rookie of the Year” Jang Ga-yeon (19-Huons), have advanced to the first round of the final regular tour event of the 2023-2024 season .Jang easily defeated Choi Sun-young, 25-2, in the PPQ round (first qualifier) on the first day of the Crown Haetae LPBA Championship 2024 LPBA tournament at Kintex PBA Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on Tuesday. In addition to Jang, a number of other promising pitchers in their late teens and early 20s crossed the first gate, including Lee Jung-yoon (22), Kim Sa-ra (18), Jeon Ji-woo (20), and Cho Ye-eun (21).

Jang easily won the first qualifier with an average of 1.667, topping the first qualifier overall with a 25-point victory in just 15 overs, led by eight high runs .Meanwhile, Cha Yuram, who made a comeback in the last tour event and reached the round of 32, faced Seo Han Sol (Blue One Resort) in the second event and lost 14-18 to end the tournament. On the second day of the tournament, the LPBA PQ round (second qualifying round) will begin at 11 a.m., followed by the round of 64 at 4 p.m. The top 32 seeded players in the round of 64 will play their first matches of the tournament, including Surong Pheavy 슬롯게이밍 (Cambodia-Blue One Resort), Kim Ga-young (Hanacard) and Lim Jung-sook (Crown Haetae).
