The 2023 SiGMA Asia Edition will be held July 19-22 at the SMX Convention Center in Metro Pasai City, Manila, and the four-day event is expected to feature 2,000 delegates, more than 150 speakers and 75 game exhibitors.

Organized by Sigma Play, the SiGMA Summit is considered some of the world’s most important and largest international B2B and B2CiGaming and casino-focused conferences.

The Asian region has a four-day run packed with golf games, historic aspects of Manila and first day activities starting with a poker tournament in Okada Manila before the exhibition begins.

Over the next few days, there will be discussions on regulation, game payments and e-commerce, as well as lectures on marketing, encryption, Web3, emerging technologies and esports on a variety of topics.

The week-long networking event will be wrapped up with a closing ceremony after Centurion FC’s MMA event. The event will be attended by industry leaders and government officials from the private sector, including PAGCO official Alejandro Tengko and Philippine Security and Exchange Commissioner Kelvin Lester K. Lee.

Organizers of the event praised PAGCOR, the host country’s major game regulator, to “create a strong foundation” for the Philippines to become a game investment destination.

The official website of SiGMA Asia explained, “The Philippines’ gambling industry, which is rapidly emerging as a gaming hub in Asia, has seen rapid growth over the past few years, both on land and online.”

“With the recent pandemic hit hard, resilient PAGCOR has moved to regulate online gambling in the country, making it the first country in Asia to achieve that, as it has succeeded in offsetting revenue losses from the forced end of COVID,” the official website of SiGMA Asia stressed.

“In the first half of 2022, PAGCOR’s net profit was about 2.16 billion pounds, a significant increase from a profit of 71.1 million pounds recorded in the previous year.”
