‘Doosan Match Play’ opens on 15th

Doosan Match Play, which writes history and tradition through dramatic games every year, will be held at the Nature OUT and Garden IN courses at Radena Golf Club (par 72/6384 yards) in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, for five days from the 15th.

Doosan Match Play will mark its 16th competition this year, starting with its first competition in 2008. It was held under the title of Doosan Match Play Championship until last year, but the logo and title of the competition were newly changed to Doosan Match Play from this year.

A total of 64 players, including Lee Jung-min, the winner of the 2024 Doosan Match Play, and Lee Ye-won, the winner of the season, will participate. In particular, players within the top 60 in last year’s prize money rankings and top rankers in this season’s prize money rankings are expected to participate in thrilling games.

The tournament will have seven rounds for five days, with the first three days being held in group stages. Only the top place in each group will be allowed to advance to the round of 16, and the round of 16 through the final will be held for two days in a tournament format.

The draw will be held on the 14th, the day before the main tournament, to determine the group matches of this tournament. The draw will be held in a unique way that can only be seen in Doosan Match Play. The draw will be held in such a way that 16 players who have been allocated the A-seed (top seed) out of 64 players will directly draw to select the players in groups B, C and D to compete with them. Depending on the result of the draw, a so-called “death group” or “lucky group” will be created. The draw will be broadcast live on SBS Golf’s YouTube channel

During the competition, heavy equipment of “Doosan Bobcat” will be displayed at Gallery Plaza so that galleries who visited the venue can enjoy not only wonderful plays but also exotic attractions. In addition, through collaboration with famous sports brands, various products such as Doosan Match Play T-shirts, windbreakers, and hats can be purchased at the MD shop at Gallery Plaza.토토사이트
