Two crewmates, Craig Walker and Daniel Johnson, worked at the Corral Island Casino in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, and figured out how to fix the roulette wheel. After the wheels were manipulated, the pair signaled to their friend Kevin Trainer to play at the table. All three shared the £23,000 that the trainer received from the fixed wheels. Their scam was soon revealed, and now a group of three people have admitted to the scam and the crewmates have been held in jail. The scam was discovered while the casino boss examined the security video on the roulette table.

Preston Crown Court heard the case on Monday, June 8, 2015. Court proceedings learned that the two crew members worked together to figure out how to perform a “no-spin in the driver’s seat” during a quiet shift. The trainer waited for a friend, one of the crew members, to scratch his head, signaling that he needed to increase his 25-pound bet to 100 pounds. This sealed the trainer’s victory. The trainer was suspected by the casino because he gambled for a small amount but could win big. He won £2,100 on one visit to the Corral Island casino.

The casino boss examined the video to make sure every game was being played fairly. He witnessed Kruppier scratching his head just before the ball was expected. With his watchful eyes, the three were arrested, and the three pleaded guilty to fraud after pleading guilty to his role in the scheme.
