Kia Tigers infielder Kim Do-yeong on Thursday became the first player in South Korean baseball history with at least 10 home runs and 10 steals in a single month .Kim, the third-year infielder, launched his 10th home run of April off Kim Seon-gi of the Kiwoom Heroes during the top of the fifth inning of their Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) regular-season game at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. Kim did not have a home run in March but hit his 10th home run of April in his 21st game this month. The 20-year-old already had 11 steals in April prior to Thursday’s game.
With this home run, Kim became the firt KBO player to reach double figures in both home runs and steals within the same month. Kim has already set a career high in home runs. His previous personal high was seven homers in 84 games last year. Kim is on pace to become just the second player in KBO history with at least 40 home runs and 40 steals. Former NC Dinos slugger 스포츠 Eric Thames remains the only KBO player to have pulled off that feat, with 47 home runs and 40 steals in 2015.Even Thames didn’t go 10-10 in home runs and steals in any month during that historic season .By hitting his homer, Kim also scored in his 12th consecutive game, tied for the second-longest streak in Tigers history
