The World Series of Poker Europe returns to ESPN2 on Sunday, Jan. 31, at 11 p.m. with a very unique event. The first-ever Caesars Cup, featuring an eight player per team format, has Captain Daniel Negreanu and Team Americas squaring off against Team Europe, led by Captain Annette Obrestad, in a series of best of seven doubles and singles matches.
Some of poker’s biggest names including Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson, Phil Hellmuth, Peter Eastgate Patrik Antonius and Bertrand Grospellier are in action. The doubles format is an intriguing one – where a team of two players make alternate bets playing preflop, the flop, the turn, and the river. How well teams work together will determine a successful bluff or an impossible situation.
Lon McEachern and Norman Chad return to call the action. They’ll be joined on each WSOP Europe telecast by sideline reporter and professional poker player Kara Scott.
