Looking at the summary of the Premier 12 tournament announced by WBSC on its website earlier this month, 12 countries will be divided into two groups to play round robin, with the top two teams in each group advancing to the super round.

Korea, which competes with Japan, Australia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Taiwan in Group B, will play its first group match against Taiwan on Nov. 13 and must finish in the top two teams in Group B to advance to the Super Round at Tokyo Dome, Japan, from Nov. 21. So far, it is the same as previous tournaments.

However, unlike previous years, when the team played in the Super Round without facing the first and second-place teams in the same group, it will face the other two teams as well as the team that played once in the group stage.

According to the WBSC guidelines, the top two teams from Group A and Group B will have a showdown, and their group league performance will not be included in the Super Round.
