Casinos will now donate thousands of dollars to local charities thanks to their guests, collecting all the forgotten change and slip as donations.

The casino, known as Chance Casino Rimrak, was completed in three years. This is because, like other British Columbia gaming facilities, it was forced to suspend operations in March 2020 and resume in July 2021. And finally, enough money has been raised to donate to the community.

Sherrill Taylor, shift manager at Port Alberni Game Amenities, discussed how many customers pay in cash and leave the venue. According to her, casinos accumulate the slips left by players to the point where the amount reaches thousands of Canadian dollars. The latest part of it will be donated and split between the three organizations.

Mr. Taylor said that sometimes players forget their TITO tickets or change on the floor and are collected in a large bucket for donations. They call the stockpile cumulative discovered money donations. Now, the casino has donated the money to three Albany Valley charities: the Abbeyfield House, the Salvation Army, and the Kiwanis Hilton Children’s Center.

Some of Abbeyfield House’s significant contributions are CA$3,600 or more. According to Rosemary Buchanan, a member of the group’s board of directors, the money is most likely to be used for projects proposed by local residents. Marjorie Jarrett, who is also a member of the board, said the fund would be useful for the development of residents’ activities.홀짝게임

Meanwhile, Kiwanis Hilton Children’s Center received CA$1,730 which will be used for the maintenance of the children’s center. Julie Spencer, executive director of the Hilton Center and the Albany Valley Conservation Society, said the money would be used to replace the floor of the front door area. And finally, the Salvation Army received some of the money, but the amount was not disclosed.

the importance of BC. gaming facilities
Usually, many charities, organizations, and even city coffers rely on gambling funds to support their operations. For example, Vancouver Island-based Casino Nanaimo recently reported that its flagship PROUD program allowed more than $3.6 million in CA funding to more than 126 nonprofit organizations in 2018 alone.

Chance Casino Avertzford is also a proud supporter of many local businesses and organizations. One of the many examples of this is from 2019, when casinos hosted food bank fundraisers. This was the eighth year of events at the property, and was able to provide significant support to Archway Food Bank in Abertsford. It even exceeded expectations by breaking the previous cumulative earnings record.
